Sytsema Christmas Letter: 2025

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,

All creatures were stirring (even Heidi), including two dogs, two cats, and likely a mouse.

The children came from far and from near,

To share in prime rib, twice-baked potatoes, wine, and beer.

Before we dove into the food and the drink,

We each took a moment to pause and to think.

One by one we gave thanks for the year that we’ve had,

For the people, the lessons, the good, and the bad.

With i’move now sold, Marty opened the door:

More coworkers, twelve clinics, and opportunities more.

For travel, for golf, for the work that feels right,

And Blackstone-made meals—Marty is thankful each night.

Heidi spent the year growing, both in strength and in mind,

Walking the Pride parade joyfully, with affirming churches she could find.

A week with the Breukers for beachy Forced Family Fun,

And she’s thankful for Peloton arm workouts, each and every one.

She had much more to say—like books read (75) and tee times,

She obviously doesn’t get the difficulty of the rhymes.

For fishing and friends and good health, James is glad.

He still swims, bikes, and runs - his favorite triad.

Now a manager at Sytsemas, another step in his career,

Together with Lyric, 2026 should be a good year.

Anna took a leap this year, both brave and bold,

Starting Anna Kate Marketing—her own story told.

An all-in-one marketer, learning and growing each day,

Thankful to start the new year fresh in every way.

Grace, our map-making queen, will finish DePaul in June,

Studying in Chicago, graduation coming soon.

She’s loved being a line cook at Alamo Drafthouse too,

Thankful school’s almost finished and excited for what’s new.

This year brought us joy and some challenges too,

And we’re endlessly grateful for each one of you.

For the love and support that kept us upright,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

Cheers to 2026 from the Sytsemas: Marty, Heidi, James, Anna, & Grace

Plus Milo + Murphy, and Anna’s cats Cleo + George
