Hi! I’m Anna :)
Hi, I’m Anna Sytsema, a freelance marketing and communications professional based in West Michigan. I graduated from Calvin University in 2022 with a degree in Strategic Communication and a minor in Sociology, and after working with several marketing agencies, I launched my own business at the beginning of 2025.
I care deeply about clear communication, thoughtful design, and community-centered work. I believe great marketing should feel intentional, approachable, and aligned with who you are, NOT cookie-cutter or overwhelming.
Experience & Commuinity Involvement
My background spans agency work, freelance marketing, and hands-on community leadership. I’ve worked with businesses, nonprofits, and organizations on projects ranging from social media strategy and website content to email marketing, blogs, campaigns, and brand messaging.
Locally, I’m proud to serve as the Vice President of Marketing for JCI Greater Muskegon and the Communications Chair for the Lakeshore Visual Arts Collective. Through these roles, I support leadership development, nonprofit initiatives, and arts advocacy, while staying closely connected to the needs of Muskegon and the greater West Michigan community.
My education in strategic communication and sociology allows me to think critically about audience behavior, messaging, and how people connect with brands in meaningful ways.
